Description
Citral(also known as geranial) is a light yellow oily volatile liquid with a lemon aroma, insoluble in water, and soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol, ether, propylene glycol, glycerol, mineral oil, etc. It exists in plant essential oils such as citrus oil, lemon oil, lemon grass oil, litsea oil, white lemon oil, and verbena oil.
