Clarithromycin Overview

Clarithromycin is an antibiotic that treats a variety of bacterial infections. It belongs to the macrolide class of antibiotics and functions by inhibiting protein synthesis in bacteria, thereby stopping their growth and multiplication.

Functions:

1. Respiratory Infections: Antibiotic Clarithromycin powder is  effective against infections such as bronchitis, pneumonia, sinusitis, and strep throat.
2. Skin Infections: Used to treat bacterial skin infections like cellulitis and impetigo.
3. Helicobacter pylori: Often prescribed in combination with other medications to treat stomach ulcers caused by H. pylori bacteria.
4. Other Infections: Can be used for ear infections and some sexually transmitted infections.

Instructions for Use:

1. Dosage: Take as prescribed by your healthcare provider. The typical dosage is 250-500 mg twice daily.

2. Administration: Can be taken with or without food. Swallow the tablets whole with water.

3. Duration: Complete the entire course of medication, even if symptoms improve before finishing the prescription.

4. Missed Dose: Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it’s near the time for the next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.

5. Storage: Store at room temperature, away from moisture and heat. Keep it out of reach of children.
